A Los Angeles couple had an alternative wedding recently, after a team of puppets conducted their special day.
Joe Tyler Gold and Tammy Caplan, both of whom are actors and film makers, wrote a script for the light-hearted ceremony, which people can see for themselves on YouTube.
The ‘Minister’, who can be seen joking about beating the ‘Rabbi’ to the gig, also confirmed the wedding’s legality when he told the audience:
“Oh you are wondering if this is legal for Joe and Tammy to be married by a puppet. Well, just a few days ago it wasn’t, but I went online and paid five dollars and now I am officially ordained by the state of California.”
The couple, who had been together for 15 years, managed to keep the unique ceremony under wraps, though the secrecy did lead to some guests thinking that they were perhaps in line for a celebrity conducting the wedding.
Those interested in this unique occasion can check out the Daily Mail website to see the hilarious, yet touching, wedding photos. North West England is also full of talented puppeteers, so if people are interested in this eccentric form of wedding party they will surely be able call upon able professionals to conduct it.
For Joe and Tammy though, they can be content in the knowledge that they have celebrated their love in such a special manner. It certainly appears to have entertained all those in attendance – and the many others who viewed the occasion online.
