A new service has been created which allows the professional wedding photographer and the invited wedding guests to instantly upload their snaps of a wedding into one location using the Snapshots app or website.
While it is common for cameras to be placed on tables for guests to contribute to the recording of the day alongside a top wedding photographer from Liverpool or the surrounding area, this service aims to link in these two intertwining aspects of wedding photography.
As CEO and Co-Founder Jonathan Dantes said in the press release:
“The goal for Snapshots is to be a platform where professional photographers and wedding guests can co-exist.”
The new service will allow both happy couple and the professional photographer to potentially benefit. The bride and groom will see many aspects of the wedding from different vantage points, while for the professional wedding photographer it allows for a little more visibility for the work on the day.
An additional benefit is the live nature of the service, so that the bride, groom and guests can all enjoy the photographs of the evening as it happens. Adding to the immediacy, guests are also able to comment on, “love” or purchase a photo there and then.
With it being an interesting development within the photo-hosting industry, those planning a wedding or involved in wedding photography or catering will no doubt be keen to see whether it takes off, and people look for 21st-century ways to share their special day.
