Some people, though filled with excitement at the thought of marrying the love of their life, are not overly comfortable at the thought of being photographed. It can be something of a double-edged sword, as you would obviously love to have a visual photographic reminder of your special day, but want to make sure the shots reflect the essence of the wedding.
If you are nervous about having your photograph taken, talk through your fears with your photographer. Their profession means that they will be skilled and trained in taking the perfect picture, but they will have excellent people skills too. Modern technology also means that a Cheshire wedding photographer, or indeed a photographer from any other part of the country, will have accompanying software to help them ‘touch up’ a photo, this accentuating its most striking features.
Of course, the photographer will guide you through the best poses, but if you would like to stay ahead of the game, here are some simple poses that achieve great results.
For this, the groom takes position at the back of the picture, behind the right shoulder of the bride. The bride then leans back into the groom turning her head slightly so that the groom can whisper in her ear. This undoubtedly causes a case of the giggles, which is the perfect picture moment.
A great one for the bride, as long as her dress has plenty of ‘swish’ to capture this shot. She simply gathers up her dress on one side, and then imagines she is about to burst into Latin dance, swishing her dress so that the photographer can snap away.
The Tender Touch
This pose makes for a beautiful picture to encapsulate memories. The bride and groom cuddle up close, face to face, and gaze into each other’s eyes. The bride then softly touches her new husbands face, and it is the moment of connection that is captured.
This is easy as can be, but very effective. Quite simply, the couple wanders off holding hands, and the photographer will then capture a lovely shot of the bride and groom from behind walking together hand in hand. If chosen in black and white with a stunning background scene, this can make a particularly cherished print.
Who doesn’t love to laugh? Using the bride as the focal point of the picture, surrounded by her bridesmaids, everyone simply giggles on cue. This is great for creating a natural and relaxed picture.
