Commercial photographer in Liverpool

You may have heard the term commercial photography used frequently, but you might not know what it means exactly or how to get involved.

This article aims to explain what commercial photography is, what it isn't and what you can expect if you work in it.

Commercial photography – what is it?

We take photographs of products, services, buildings or individuals.

You might shoot fashion models in designer gear for an ad, someone working on a computer to sell a service or anything that might appear on a business website, brochure, or advert.  Even food for your restaurant.

Commercial photography is difficult to define. While some claim it only applies to advertising shots, others claim it also applies to catalogs and e-commerce.

But in the age of small business ventures and business diversity, this genre is now massive.

The intention behind the shoot separates commercial photography from other genres.  You basically want to use the images to sell and market your services or products or yourself.  Just professional commercial photography.

Photographic types for commercial use

  1. Advertising Photography

This type of commercial photography includes images used in billboards, posters, magazine pages, online advertisements.

  1. Images for websites

Various images will be used to accompany a press release promoting the launch of a new product.  Headshots promoting you.  Lots of trainers and coaches use these to show professionalism, don’t use photos from holidays, a night out or just a standard mobile phone images.

  1. Sales and catalog commercial photography

A clothing brand, for example, will usually want models wearing the clothes against a white background, showing the back and front of the garment and any relevant details. Also, consider restaurant menus and non-conventional ‘catalogs’ such as Etsy and Facebook Marketplace.

  1. Product Images

You may not think of these images initially but images that appear on packaging.  Anything that you sell on your website but there is a crossover here.  Social media is a main outlet for lots of business when marketing, so having professional images is an absolute must if you want to be taken seriously.  They reflect your brands image.

  1. Commercial Photography for Services

For instance hotel and hospitality commercial photography.  This could be your rooms, food, your reception area maybe staff working smiling.

What Does Your Brand need from Professional Product Photography?

Product photos reflect your brand’s image

Investing in product photography can help your business become more recognized in the long term. Professional product photography reflects the professionalism, value, creativity, and innovation of your business to your customers.

You will convince your customers that your brand cares about their needs and wants, which will motivate them to become loyal customers who purchase your products repeatedly.

You can demonstrate the credibility of your brand image through professional product photography and your product’s quality.

Photos influence purchase decisions

The power of images to create first impressions lies in the fact that we are naturally visual creatures.

There is no doubt that an image speaks louder than words, as demonstrated by the statistic that 93% of consumers consider visual appearance to be one of the most important deciding factors when making a purchase decision. An outstanding product image is worth a thousand website visitors if a picture is worth a thousand words.

The quality of your product photography determines whether your customer will continue browsing your product and ultimately purchase it. People are easily distracted in this digital world.

They have less patience to read product descriptions or text while scrolling through various online platforms.

That is why it’s more vital than ever before for your brand to have impactful product photography that instantly catches your customers’ attention.

Product Photography is a Skill

Professional equipment and specific techniques are used in commercial photography to present your products appealingly. It needs to be edited and retouched to make it stand out more.

Creating powerful product images requires a skilled and experienced Liverpool product photographer with a quality camera, backdrop, and lighting. Professional commercial photographers have all of this set-up gear so you can provide your product and receive stunning, high-quality images.

Enhance Engagement & Set a High-Quality Standard with Professional Images

A well-taken, effective, and useful product image can draw your viewer’s attention in a matter of seconds. I believe that everything you do in terms of the image quality, the subject, the colors, and the concept should resonate with your audience. The quality of your images is one of the essential tools you can use to establish a long-term relationship with your customers.

As long as you manage a high standard of commercial photography, you show that your products pay attention to details, promote unique selling points, and differentiate your brand from your competitors.

Using professional images for offline advertising such as banners, flyers, or any other type of promotion you may need is possible.

There is no better way to catch the attention of people passing by your store than to display good quality images of your product in your window display, which will appeal to their eyes and encourage them to visit your store.

Customers Will Be Satisfied with Quality Photos

Did you know that 22% of online purchases are returned because the products look different from the pictures? Photographing your products sets your customers’ expectations about what they will see. Furthermore, it eliminates their doubts that the product will not meet their expectations.

Utilize your product image quality to the fullest extent if you want to motivate your audience to purchase your products. Your brand could benefit significantly from professional images of your products.

Conclusion

A few in-house photography jobs are available in the photography industry, but most work is freelance.

You will need to find a professional commercial photographer in Liverpool to hire.  Some have a studio other do not.  Rycraft Studios, our other brand handles all our commercial photography.

We offer professional photographers for your events or imaging of any business product.
