How should you display wedding photographs in the home?
Once you’ve had the wedding day of your dreams and you’ve finally seen the moments your Liverpool wedding photographer expertly captured on camera, it’s time to think about how to display your images. Here are a few ideas, courtesy of Matthew Rycraft Photography.
The album
Most couples will purchase a wedding album, but many will simply put it away in a cupboard or on a shelf, where it will quietly gather dust between viewings. Instead, why not place it on a coffee table, sideboard or mantlepiece? Choosing a striking cover makes this work particularly well.
The gallery wall
If you’re finding it impossible to choose between images, why not display the lot as a gallery wall? You can use a mix of sizes, putting the largest ones in the middle to ensure they really stand out. Use matching frames or a selection of different ones, and a wide variety of images will usually work best. A gallery wall is a very versatile way to show off your personality, as well as your pictures.
The picture ledges
Most home and DIY stores now sell picture ledges, and these are great for those who like to mix things up. You simply place a framed photograph on the ledge, and swap it for another whenever you fancy a change. You can also choose between a crowded or more spaced-out display.
The printed items
You can have your pictures printed onto just about anything – from oversized canvases to mugs, cushions and more. Pick your own items for an effective, personalised display that pays homage to your big day.
