Wedding of the Year.
Needless to say… I’m over the moon to have made it to Round 2 for Wedding of the Year with Your Merseyside & Cheshire Wedding Magazine. Alex and Mike were shortlisted for the second round, I chose a selection of Merseyside weddings and theres stood out with the editing team at the magazine. I had the pleasure in being their Knowsley Hall wedding photographer this year. Take a look at Alex and Mike’s full wedding story.
Just being part of their wedding day was magical, full of romance and laughter and a great atmosphere. Click here to Vote for Alex and Mike and myself to make it to the finals.
Hurry… Voting closes 29th July 2016.
Alex & Mike’s Magazine Story:
Alexandra Dyson married Michael McNally at Knowsley Hall on 23rd April, 2016. Their day followed a neutral colour palette, and was captured by matthewrycraft.co.uk
The day
“I wanted to incorporate a slight Parisian theme as Mike proposed to me under the Eiffel Tower,” says Alex. “We had small bronze Eiffel Towers on the tables and frames which held my favourite quotes about love. Also, as we love macaroons, each guest had raspberry and white chocolate ones as favours.
“For flowers, we had roses and peonies as I wanted a classic but vintage feel. On my bouquet I had two small pictures, one of Mike’s dad and also my nan, as they’d passed away.”
Memorable Moment
“My favourite memory was when we were pronounced as husband and wife,” says Alex. “Mike held me, dipped me back and kissed me – just like the movies! The priest was funny and thoughtful, making little comments like ‘you’ll never walk alone’ in reference to Mike being a massive Liverpool fan. He surprised us by playing the Harry Potter theme tune on the organ and talking about the magic of marriage – the priest knew I loved the books. All our guests commented on how fantastic the service was!”
