American couple Cheetah Platt and Rhiann Woodyard have taken a novel approach to their wedding, by undertaking multiple ceremonies in various nations around the world.
Many couples planning their special day will be familiar with the difficult prospect of trying to figure out how to go about conducting their wedding, and Cheetah and Rhiann were no different. The globetrotting couple’s response was extremely novel, with a three-month trek taking in various continents culminating in a legal ceremony in the US.
Rhiann said of their plan:
“A lot of people say you should travel with the person you’re going to marry. We get to learn about each other every day more and more and I love that it’s brought us closer.”
The couple have been documenting their journey via Twitter and Facebook, so those that are interested in this whimsical little adventure can see all their wedding photos. North West England may not have been one of their destinations, but the happy couple were just over the sea when they took in Ireland to perform one of their ceremonies.
The pair managed to stay within a tight budget, and the cost of the adventure has been aided by honeymoon registry website Honeyfund. The couple hoped to perform, as well as teach, partner acrobatics.
Cheetah and Rhiann have been ordained themselves so they can perform their own ceremonies, which not only cuts down the cost but also makes their adventure even more unique.
