Krispy Kreme is known for being a specialist in doughnuts, but the Metro has reported recently that the firm is going beyond the simple baked treat and branching out into wedding cakes.
Those picturing a tier of giant doughnuts may be disappointed though, as the wedding cakes consist of rows of the regular-sized doughnuts heaped together to provide a somewhat alternative nuptial treat.
The company has said that the cakes can be matched to the colour theme of the wedding where they are served, and will cost under £350 each. If, however, the wedding cake seems a little too off the wall, the firm also offers up favours that include some of its produce and a small plaque as a memento.
Naturally, there will be a wide variety of companies that will be keen to serve up an alternative wedding cake, for couples setting off on their married life down a less traditional path. Whether it is doughnuts, cheesecakes, cupcakes or even something a little more left field, such as a tiered cheeseboard from a local cheesemonger, a wedding cake can often be used as an expression of the happy couple’s personality. The favours too can be used by the bride and groom to leave guests with a personalised keepsake of the joyous day.
It is these personal touches to a wedding, in whatever form they take, that a top wedding photographer in Lancashire will be able to use and emphasise when capturing those special moments on a couple’s happy day.
