A couple have deviated from tradition by walking down the aisle of Morrisons after the supermarket chain hosted their wedding.
The walk down the aisle is a magical part of a ceremony where the nervous groom awaits the blushing bride, and they wanted the day to commemorate the place that Rebecca Wooller and Blake Green had their first date.
The wedding party was treated to portions of chicken curry from the store’s café, before the eccentric couple spent their first night as man and wife together.
The happy couple said of the unusual event:
“We want other people to have a good day themselves if they’re in there shopping and have a laugh with us.”
The unusual wedding venue will perhaps be a little too offbeat for some, but will make potential brides and grooms think about the venue for their own big day.
Whilst the venue’s facilities will naturally be a consideration, so too will be whether or not a certain place has sentimental value, like the store did for Rebecca and Blake.
A top wedding photographer, from Manchester or the surrounding area, will be sure to utilise the arena chosen to host the happy day, ensuring that the photos taken will reflect the personality of not only the happy couple, but also the venue.
However, before couples start calling Morrisons to hire it out, it should be noted that the loving couple’s official wedding took place earlier in the day at a register office before a celebrant oversaw the supermarket ceremony.
