1. Their style
What is their photographic style? Is it classic or modern? Do they favour natural shots, or more composed images? Do they have anything to offer that will make your pictures truly stand out? Perhaps most importantly of all, does their style match your own?
2. Their portfolio
How experienced are they? Do they have a great portfolio to show off their work, and does this impress you? Do they have experience in shooting your kind of wedding, and do you like what you see? Does it reflect their genuine passion for their craft?
3. Their personality
A good wedding photographer must take control on the big day if they are to capture the best shots. Can your photographer draw upon years of experience? Will they capture each key moment, at just the right time? Can they create great images by making you and your guests laugh and smile?
4. Their awards
While not every good wedding photographer may have awards to their name, it surely has to be a bonus if they do.
